In all cases, files are retained for a minimum of seven years, or longer for those under 18 at the time of treatment. Access to this information is granted upon request, with some exceptions based on the National Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1988.

Confidentiality and Privacy

You will be provided with a consent form at your initial session, and you can download a copy below, if required.

Workcover and Employee Assisted sessions

Some workplaces have generous funding for you to attend with a psychologist and they will fund the cost of your attendance.

CFC Psychologists are currently approved through the QPS Self Refer program and are Workcover approved providers.

Private Insurance

Some insurance policies may cover psychology. It's advised to check with your insurance provider for eligibility and rebate requirements.

Medicare Rebates

Medicare rebates are available for customers with a Mental Health Treatment Plan and or a valid referral from a treating Medical Practitioner. The rebate is currently limited to 10 sessions per year. Having a MHTP, sometimes known as a Mental Health Care Plan, does not meant your attendance is free. It just means you could be eligible for a rebate from Medicare, after you pay the session fee.

Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or postponements. A fee of $110 may apply for no-shows, payable by the next visit. If you can't attend, please contact us.
